Copyright and fair use is quite a sticky subject in terms of the classroom. Students should be able to use outside sources as they are the source for most learning. However, for example when writing an essay or making a project, proper citations should be used for concepts that aren't original. I would create my own daily materials and tests and base them off the common curriculums that the state provides if I am working at a public school.
Academic honesty is one of the biggest problems in education today with the launch of newer technologies such as ChatGPT and AI. In my class, these tools should only be used to generate a grading system or checking system for classwork that will help students correct mistakes. It shouldn't be used as something to use to generate ideas for projects, papers or give the answers to a test or exam. I will implement this by creating strict policy and putting AI detection software's over all tests taken via the computer as well as make students take a handwritten test.
